The Appeal aims to bring to Perth international scholars in Theology who are at the forefront of their fields, allow them to remain here for a maximum of one month, and to interact with the community in the widest possible way. The goal of the Appeal is to raise a minimum of $1,000,000 as a permanent endowment fund which will allow for the residence of at least one such scholar each year, thus making a fresh yet permanent impact on the church in Perth. This program is unique in the breadth of community funding which is being sought and for its intention to bring together the University and the community in a theological partnership.

Youth Focus, a West Australian, non-profit community based organisation, provides youth counselling, family counselling, peer support counselling and mentoring to over 500 young people who are showing early signs associated with suicide, depression and deliberate self harm.
